A chakra is a wheel: a junction where the great channels cross and prana concentrates into a distinct quality of experience. This part studies all seven major centres — element, bija mantra, function and lived signature — along with the two higher centres, and teaches you to read your own as deficient or excessive.
Beyond the seven major centres, the tradition describes further stations that open only as the system matures. They are named here for completeness and studied experientially rather than analytically.
Chakras are not simply open or blocked. Each can be under-charged or over-charged, and the two look nothing alike — the practices that help one make the other worse.
